Meet Amanda
Amanda Izen M.A., CCC-SLP, TSSLD is a New York State licensed and nationally certified speech-language pathologist located in the heart of Greenwich Village in NYC. She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and New York State TSSLD license (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities). She received her bachelors degree from of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from Hofstra University.
Amanda has extensive experience providing assessment and treatment for children both in home based and school based settings. Through her experience Amanda has acquired a wide range of skills to treat children with autism spectrum disorders, receptive, expressive and pragmatic language disorders, social communication disorders, motor speech disorders and much more! Amanda specializes in working with children with language delays ("late talkers"), speech sound disorders (articulation and phonological disorders), childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
When Amanda is not treating clients, she enjoys traveling with friends and family, perfecting her chocolate chip banana bread recipe, and exploring the hidden gems of NYC!

Evaluation
Comprehensive and dynamic speech and language evaluations are offered to identify your child's current levels of functioning, areas of strengths and challenges. Parents are provided with a written report detailing the results and recommendations following the evaluation.
Speech & Language Therapy
Speech & language therapy sessions are available to help your child reach his or her goals and become an effective communicator. Sessions are individualized based upon your child's specific needs, interests and motivators.
Parent Coaching
Parents and caregivers are essential partners in the therapy process. Coaching sessions help the adults in your child's life support his or her speech and language development by modifying their language and actions. Adults can learn to incorporate evidence based techniques into daily routines at home.

Do you take insurance?
EZ Speech Therapy will be considered an out of network provider. A superbill receipt can be provided that you submit directly to your insurance for possible reimbursement using your out of network benefits.
